Staff Farewells
The Belridge Community is sadly farewelling a long time staff member and school leader; Helen Brennan. Helen is retiring after 40 years of teaching students across our state, from Ravensthorpe, to Broome and in several schools across the metropolitan area. Helen has taught at in the Humanities (HASS) Department at Belridge since 1996, and been the HASS HOLA since 2005. Her knowledge of the curriculum, diligence in lesson preparation, effectiveness in delivery and conscientiousness in assessing is outstanding. Helen’s calm and considered approach to teaching has left a strong impression on past and present students, some of whom have considered her as one of the “Gods of HASS”.Helen has also been a very well respected leader in the school, as her wise observations and approach to managing staff and students is always kind, fair and aiming for the best outcome for those involved.
Thousands of students have benefited from Helen’s dedication to educating our students over the years. She will be very sadly missed. We wish Helen all the best for her well-deserved retirement.
