BSC Celebrates NAIDOC Week
On Wednesday the 3rd July the college community recognised and acknowledged our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people’s culture and history, with a day of celebration. We were fortunate enough to have Noongar elder Dennis Simmons, Selina Abdullah and Rebecca Garlett, who have been working with our students to put together an interactive cultural presentation for a wonderful first ever NAIDOC assembly. The whole school community also came together to share a BBQ lunch tasting traditional meats before this assembly.
Recognising NAIDOC Day is an extremely important aspect of our College calendar and I would like to thank everyone who contributed to this day, especially our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families.
