All college staff recently participated in a Numeracy Awareness professional learning opportunity, focussing on estimation and data displays presented by the Numeracy Lead Team. Staff worked collaboratively throughout the nine activities specifically designed to activate numeracy engagement.

Numeracy learning takes place outside the mathematics classroom and this is now very evident with the new and exciting compass rose painted at the bottom of the ramp near the entrance to the oval. The sun dial clock outside the library has also been rejuvenated with a fresh coat of paint. Students from various classes have already made use of these two tools for supporting cross curricula learning intentions.
