Preparation for upcoming Exams
Earlier this year, the College purchased a subscription for ATAR students to access online specific course support for their ATAR classes. Students have their own login and access to lectures, lessons, Powerpoints and videos all focusing on the Year 12 ATAR content. I encourage all students to utilise this resource to help prepare for the upcoming exams.
ASPIRE Breakfast
The first ASPRIE Breakfast for the Year 11 ATAR students will be held on Wednesday, 3 September 2025. Any student in Year 11 doing 4 or more ATAR courses will be required to attend a breakfast at school commencing at 7:30am. This will be held in the staff room and will include special presenters. Students will finish school at 1:40pm that day.
The final ASPIRE Breakfast for Year 12 ATAR students will be held on Wednesday, 17 September 2025 in the staff room. Students will finish school at 1:40pm that day. This is a chance to thank and farewell staff.
Workplace Learning
Students in Year 12 who still require a number of hours for their work placement will be going out during Weeks 7 and 8. All other students (General Courses, Certificate Courses and ATAR Courses) are required to attend their classes as normal.
Attendance for Year 12 students in Term 4
The following Year 12 students are required to attend school in the first week of Term 4:
- All ATAR students – Only attend their ATAR classes
- Certificate Courses – Students who have not completed their Certificate coursework must attend each day until signed off by their teacher.
Year 11 Exams
The Year 11 exams will be taking place during Weeks 6 and 7 of next term. Students are encouraged to be preparing for them now and not leave it until the last couple of weeks.
ATAR English students have access to ATAR Support which has been paid for by the College.
This is a valuable resource and compliments to fantastic work done by our wonderful teachers. Students are also required to be prepared for study on Wednesday Lunchtimes and Period 5. This is designated time to work with other students in that particular course to build a greater understanding of the concepts.
Thank you.
Mr Louis Cheeseman
