North High School Cup – Boys’ Netball Carnival
On Tuesday, 27 May 2025, Belridge Secondary College took two teams of boys to represent our school at the North Carnival for the High School Cup.
Our Lower Division Year 8 Team had a strong showing, winning 3 out of their 4 games and only just missing a clean sweep with a narrow 1-point loss in their final match. We are hopeful that their results will be enough to see them progress to the elimination rounds—fingers crossed!
Our Open Division Year 12 Team went undefeated, winning all 4 of their games and securing a well-deserved place in the next round, which will take place in Fremantle.
It’s fantastic to see Boys’ Netball growing, particularly as we now have boys involved in our specialist Netball Program. In addition, we welcomed other keen players after holding trials and lunchtime/recess matches in the lead-up to the carnival.
A big congratulations to all the boys involved for their teamwork, dedication, and excellent sportsmanship throughout the day!

South 2 SSWA High School Cup Years 7-9
Another fantastic day at the SSWA High School Cup Carnival 2# in Fremantle on Wednesday, 11 June 2025.
Our Year 7, 8, and 9 teams showcased excellent sportsmanship, effort and teamwork across 4 to 5 games each to come away with the following:
Year 7.1 – 4 wins and 1 loss (finished top on percentage)
Year 7.2 – A tough day with 5 closely contested matches
Year 8.1 – Undefeated and finished top of their division
Year 8.2 – 3 wins and 2 losses – a solid team performance
Year 9.1 – 3 wins and 1 narrow loss
Year 9.2 – A hard-fought day with plenty of learning opportunities across 4 games
After completing all three zone carnivals, we are proud to announce that seven of our teams have qualified for the upcoming Elimination Carnival; 7.1, 8.1, 10.1, 11.1, 12.1, 8 Boys, and 12 Boys.
This is the most teams we’ve ever had progress, which is a brilliant reflection of the depth and strength of our Specialist Netball Program. Well done to all players and coaches.

Year 9 Lightning Carnival - Netball
We were fortunate to dodge the rain for this year’s Year 9 Lightning Carnival, which saw teams from Alkimos, Ashdale, Duncraig, Ocean Reef, Kinross, Belridge, Joseph Banks, and Wanneroo high schools come together for a day of exciting competition.
The level of skill on display was outstanding, with students demonstrating great teamwork, determination, and sportsmanship throughout the day. It was fantastic to see such positive attitudes both on and off the court.
A special thank you goes to our dedicated Year 8 Netball Academy students, who did an exceptional job umpiring on the day - not only supporting Belridge but also stepping in to assist Duncraig SHS. Your leadership and commitment to the sport are commendable and greatly appreciated.
