Deputy Principal - Years 10, 11 and 12
With the upcoming exams fast approaching Senior students need to be aware of the following details:
Year 11 and 12 exams commence on Tuesday, 3 June and conclude on Friday, 13 June. Students are only required to be at school for their exam time and must arrive 20 minutes prior to the exam in full school uniform.
Students who are studying a Certificate Course who are not up to date with their work are required to come into school during the exam period to complete any outstanding work. Students must sign into the Library at 8:45am each day until their work is up to date. Students will receive notification from the school indicating if they are required to attend school. Parents also will be notified via email of the same and when students are required to attend.
For any student who misses an exam, the College will follow the guidelines from SCSA (School Curriculum & Standards Authority) where the student must provide a valid reason and/or a medical certificate on the day of the missed exam. This will need to be sent to Mr Cheeseman (Deputy Principal) for consideration.
ATAR Support
To help ATAR students achieve higher marks in their ATAR courses, I have purchased a support package for each of their Year 12 ATAR subjects, and ATAR English for Year 11 students. This is at significant cost to the school, however we believe it will benefit each student.
Each student has their own login details and can access their course from home, which I encourage them to do regularly. The support includes lectures, detailed explanations, review content, quizzes and practice assessments. Parents can follow along at home to assist their child. Click the link below for access.
ASPIRE Club
On Wednesday, 14 May 2025, our Year 12 ATAR students attended the ASPIRE Breakfast to hear from two of our former students - Caden Holtzhausen and Will Orr - regarding strategies that worked for them to be successful in their studies. This included how to study effectively for their exams and tips to maximise their chances of success in each course. This was all done with a wonderful cooked breakfast thanks to our Home Economics Assistants.
The ASPIRE Club enables ATAR students to share ideas and work together to get the best results individually and as a cohort. We will host another ASPIRE Breakfast in Term 3.

These exams are an important part of the journey from Year 10 into Year 11 as it helps both staff and students identify suitability for students to select an ATAR pathway. This is not the only factor, but it certainly helps when students are selecting subjects for 2026. A parent information evening will be held on Tuesday, 1 July 2025 to outline all details to help parents support their child as they move into Senior School and selecting a pathway for success next year.
