2025 Year 7 Enrolments

Half-Day Transitions

During Weeks 4 and 5, we welcomed Year 6 students enrolled at Belridge for 2025 to our transition days at the College. Each primary school had a day where they attended. They were picked up from their primary school and returned by bus, which was a fun experience for all students. Whilst at the College students were introduced to the Student Services team, completed team-based activities and completed some academic testing. All students were beautifully behaved and demonstrated exceptional manners and represented their primary schools in a positive and responsible manner. A special thank you needs to go to Mr Richardson and Ms Edmonds for organising and running events, our Year 9 Peer Mentors and our wonderful Education Assistants for their very hands-on support in helping out and ensuring that the days ran smoothly.

Full-Day Transition

This is scheduled for Tuesday, 3 December 2024. The day is designed to familiarise the Year 6 students and parents with the Administration staff, facilities, layout, and routine of Belridge Secondary College. Students will be placed in groups and given a full day's timetable. Students will experience a range of classes in our Learning Areas including the Arts, Design and Technology, Information Technology, Science and Home Economics.

We continue to prepare for welcoming the next cohort of Year 7’s in 2025. If you currently have a child in Year 6 who attends a primary school in our local intake area, and you wish for them to attend Belridge Secondary College next year, please complete and submit an enrolment form as soon as possible. These can be collected from one of our local intake primary schools or our College reception.

Uniform

As the weather begins to warm up, can I please encourage you to remind yourself and your child of our College uniform policy. Our College uniform is a visible representation of the standards expected of students, and it plays an important role in promoting a positive image of the College. It also creates a sense of identity and pride among the students and wider school community, and helps students learn the importance of appropriate presentation.

OLNA

Well done to all Year 10 students who completed OLNA in Term 4. These results will be available early in 2025 and will be communicated to students and families.

A Message from Transperth

This is a reminder that if you are using Transperth buses or trains to get to or from school, you must tag on and off with your SmartRider. Primary and secondary students are entitled to free travel on all Transperth services from Monday to Friday, from the first to the last school day of the year. Student SmartRiders are issued with zero balance. You don't need to add any value on your SmartRider to receive the free travel, however SmartRiders must not have a negative balance.

Students will be charged a concession fare based on the zones travelled on weekends and during the summer school holidays.

Students must tag on and off each journey to receive the free travel or they will receive a default fare. If their SmartRider goes into a negative balance as a result, they will not have access to free travel.

With the student fare comes a little responsibility – you should stand for adults, especially those with special needs such as seniors, people with disabilities and pregnant women.
