Our August Board meeting provided a great opportunity to start work on a program born out of our Board review and self reflection activities. We have a fantastic School Council, and to help them tap into the collective experience of our board members, we have begun work on a mentoring and support program for them. Driven by the council, they will shortlist three issues they would like to work on, and with the assistance of the Board, work through solutions. On our Board we have educational, risk and business experts, as well as our dedicated teacher and parent representatives. We feel as a Board this will enrich our students' experiences, and help set them up for success in the post school future.

This leads me to our Open Board Meeting scheduled for Monday, 4 November 2024. You may be wondering why you would attend this meeting? Well I could try and tempt you with the fact we enjoy catering from our own students, but more importantly, it's a chance for you to see what's happening at a board level. You can ask the Board members and Principal questions, learn some things about how our projects are progressing and it may even pique your interest in becoming a future Board member.
