If you notice any suspicious behaviour on our school grounds, please report immediately to either:
the Police on 13 14 44.
Matters you can report on:
- unusual noises, such as glass breaking or banging
- vehicles parked at a school on weekends or during holidays
- groups of people ’hanging around’ on school grounds.
The most important times to be vigilant is during school holidays. Schools are unattended and more vulnerable than usual to crime.
Parking Safety and Etiquette
We all know that students can be easily distracted or sometimes not pay attention to the traffic around them. Keep this in mind when driving around school zones before and after school hours. Please talk with your child and reiterate the basics of crossing the road safely. Drivers please also bear in mind:
Doing the right thing:
- Obey all street signs
- Follow 40kph in school zones
- Be courteous
- Park further away and walk
- Leave car at home if possible
- Seek permission to park on someone's verge
Please do not:
- Block our neighbours driveways
- Park/stop on footpaths
- Park/stop on verges without permission
- Park/stop within 10m of intersection
- Park facing against the flow of traffic
- Double park
