School Board Matters
Members of the College Board, parents, partner primary school Principals, BSESC Principal Jenine Wall and members of our wonderful teaching teams all had the opportunity recently to espouse the great work that our Principal, Sharon, and the team at Belridge Secondary College does, as we were interviewed as part of the Public School Review audit. As an independent school, Belridge Secondary College is required to meet numerous targets and demonstrate that we are meeting the needs of the community. I am so proud to say that the audit team, made of very senior Department of Education officials, found Belridge Secondary College not only to have met all our targets, but commended us on a number of achievements. So thank you to Sharon for all your hard work, not just in putting together a benchmark submission to the audit team, but also the commitment in keeping Belridge Secondary College compliant.
As we have now rounded the corner and are heading towards year end, the Board begins to focus on next year and some of the strategies to promote our school in the community. With new parent and teacher reps on the Board, it’s exciting to bring some fresh ideas into the planning space. I also look forward to seeing a number of you at the events planned throughout the final two terms, including our open board meeting scheduled for Monday 6 November - all welcome!
