I cannot believe we are nearly at the end of Term 1. The Year 7 students have settled well getting to know teachers, their way around the school and new friendships. This year, as a school we have changed the planners to include social-emotional learning components that support our student's well-being. I also send out a weekly email to parents so you can keep up to date with the topics being covered at school. I encourage you to sit with your child/ren and have a look through the planner, there are some fantastic resources and supports that promote well-being, study skills and time management among many other important topics.

NAPLAN

All Year 7 and 9 students have now completed NAPLAN. All students displayed a positive attitude, tried their best and showed resilience throughout, they should all be extremely proud of themselves. Results will be sent out when they are received at school by the end of Term 2.

Year 8 Camp

Our Year 8 Coordinator Rebecca Edmonds has worked extremely hard to plan the C8 camp for our Year 8 students which will be held in May at Swan Valley Adventure Centre. Camp is a fantastic opportunity for students to try new things, take on personal challenges - such as the abseil wall and connect with their peers. I would encourage all eligible students to attend. For families who may require assistance or payment plans please contact the front office or Rebecca Edmonds.

Peer Support

Peer support has continued for all Year 7 students over the last few weeks. It has been brilliant to watch the Year 10 students take the lead and encourage our newest students to take part in challenges and learn more about themselves. Peer support gives students mentors who can also help them in day-to-day schooling.
