The role of a student councillors is:
  • Voice the concerns of students at Belridge and use this voice to assist in bettering our community.
  • Enriching our community by assisting/representing in events, presentations and assemblies.
  • Raising awareness and much needed funds for childhood disabilities or illness such as Cancer Council, Make a Wish Foundation, Perth Children's Hospital hearing unit and Genes for Jeans through themed days.
  • Encourage taking care of our community through recycling of containers, batteries, bottle tops and bread tags for wheelchairs for kids.
  • Become successful leaders through feedback, reflection and learning opportunities like forums and workshops.
  • Be positive role models for all students at Belridge by setting high standards and expectations of the culture here at Belridge.
Although I facilitate the council, a lot of the work is led and completed by the students so if you see them around (they should be wearing their badges) please feel free to discuss projects with them or encourage other students to have discussions with them about our school community.
If you have an idea or event you need assistance with where the student council might enrich or assist, please conduct Jade Wright or one of your Councillors.
