Belridge Dance Company Starting Strong

Pushing boundaries and reaching new heights, the students began rehearsals on the first day back at school this term and have set themselves up for success. Kicking off 2023 the Belridge Dance Company have been working with industry professional Matthew Holliday on their hip-hop technique. Students have started learning sets of choreography that will create one of their many competition routines that highlight the talent we have here at Belridge. We are looking forward to seeing what they can accomplish this year!

Science Learning Area

The Year 12 Integrated Science classes recently went on an excursion to Neil Hawkins Park to study the water quality and macroinvertebrate life of Lake Joondalup. With the help of the ‘Nearer to Nature’ group, students completed a site survey and acquired samples from the lake, discovering a wide range of aquatic life including leaches, larvae, and shrimp. The students will use these findings to compare the water quality with Herdsman Lake, samples of which have already been tested in class. With perfect weather for field work, students gained real-world experience into possible careers in Ecology and Biology.
