Student Council News

Our student leadership team is back for what will be an action-packed term! A lot of our ideas and planning is turning into action this term with the painting of the toilet doors in selected toilets, our Blue Tree painting project during R U OK week at Belridge and Footy Colours Day, raising awareness and funds for children with cancer to stay on track with their education. On this day, our school Captain, James Lun, will be cutting his long locks off and has already raised over $1500 in support of this cause. Details for this, including how to donate, will be released in the coming weeks through social media so keep an eye out.

We also ran an election process last term for our new Year 7 Student Councillors. A warm welcome and congratulations to the following students; Charlotte Camp, Isabelle Dillon, Leyla Holland, Keanu Italiano, Aaryan Patel, Pearl de Ridder and Macey Taylor

Our newly elected councillors attended their first meeting last Monday and will be with us to our meet with our local member, Caitlin Collins MLA next Tuesday.

Guest Speaker

The student council were lucky enough to have Caitlin Collins MLA, our local member, spend her morning with us, sharing her journey into politics and leadership. Caitlin's story and leadership tips around listening and hard work engaged and inspired all of us, no matter where we are on that journey. Caitlin's journey started with an arts degree and travel and has now led her to politics and the difficult art of door knocking. Thank you for dedicating your morning to us Caitlin and to the senior school Hospitality students who provided a beautiful morning tea. Caitlin has promised she will be back and we can't wait!
