Semester 1 is drawing to a close and teachers are in the process of finishing reports to document everything that has been achieved by students so far this year. Over the last few weeks, we have seen events resume for students and look forward to this continuing in Semester 2. As part of the College’s Positive Incentive program all students who have maintained Good Standing throughout Term 2 will be invited to participate in a Laser Tag during week 9. Look out for some pictures of the event on social media! It is also a timely reminder for all students of our Good Standing policy and Behaviour Management Policies, which can be found in student planners.

I would also like to thank all students and parents for such a brilliant welcome and first Semester at Belridge. Semester 1 reports will be sent home prior to the end of term and you also have the opportunity to speak to your child’s teachers regarding progress and any concerns at the parent teacher interviews on Thursday 30 June. I look forward to seeing you there.

I also hope all students have a fantastic break and look forward to a successful Semester 2.

Semester 2 Timetables

Year 7 & 8 timetables will be updated in Semester 2 with new elective subjects. Students will be provided with a new timetable on the first day back in Semester 2. By the end of Year 8 students will have had the opportunity to try a range of subjects which helps them to decide what subjects they would like to pursue in Year 9.

Year 8 Electives for 2023

In Term 3 students will be given information and a selection sheet to choose electives they would like to study in Year 9. It is important that selections are returned promptly so that students are allocated their choices and timetabling decisions can be made. If you have any questions regarding this process in Term 3 please contact the school.

Year 8 Lightning Carnival

On 15 June the Year 8 cohort attended a Lightning carnival against other schools in a range of sports. Teachers reported that students represented the school with pride, and we came away with some fantastic results. Well done to all students who were involved!

Year 7 Afternoon Tea

Thank you to all the parents who attended the Year 7 afternoon Tea. It was great to meet all of those who attended and hear the positive start students have had this year. Also thank you to all the staff who attended the event. Hopefully next year the Year 7 BBQ can take place!
