ADF Long Tan Youth Leadership & Teamwork Awards

Congratulations to Gemma Spiers who was nominated the Year 10, ADF Award Winner at Belridge SC for 2021. Gemma was recognised at a special presentation last week (pictured left).
The ADF Long Tan Youth Leadership and Teamwork awards recognise students who demonstrate leadersihp and teamwork within the school and broader community and who display strong values, such as doing one's best, respect for others, and 'mateship', that are integral to Australian society.  Participation in the awards is purely voluntary and students are encouraged to submit their own nominations.  Winners are selected by our staff selection panel, who carefully consider each nomination.

City of Joondalup Youth Representative

Congratulations to Aimee Wright (Year 12) who was successful in her application to become a member of the City of Joondalup Strategic Community Reference Group, being one of the two youth representatives.

When Aimee leaves school, she wants to study Community Development. This position and experience will provide Aimee with an excellent grounding.  Aimee said;

"I am so excited that I am now one of the Youth Representatives representing the City of Joondalup for the next two years! Throughout the Years I have grown a lot as a person and developed more confidence, I have done this with the support and encouragement of all the staff at Belridge Secondary College. So, I’d also like to thank you for always encouraging me to strive for my personal best."

We look forward to hearing about Aimee's experiences as she learns and develops more knowledge about the City of Joondalup, the local government, and participation in projects.

Celebrating Top Achievements 2021

Year 12 students were also recognised recently at a special presentation in recognition of being the TOP STUDENT FOR 2021 across a variety of subject areas, with the best part - being treated to a pizza lunch! Congratulations to all on your hard work - keep doing what you are doing!
