Staff Retirements

30TH_3_Copy.jpg

Janis Zorn has been working as part of the Admin Team in the front office for the last 12 years assisting in holding the fort!  Sadly for her colleagues and friends in the front office and across the school, Janis has decided it is now time to throw in the towel and expand into the world of retirement and we could not be happier for her.

Janis came to Belridge SC from her former job in Tourism (which proved useful for when staff needed advice in planning their holidays!).

Already a social butterfly and active lady, we know that Janis will be busier than ever with her beloved dog, Luca, and keeping up with her many active hobbies - you may see her cycling past with her bike club!

Janis, we will miss you deeply but wish you a very well deserved retirement. May it be long, healthy and happy going forward into your next chapter.

Farewell to Mrs GendleGendle_Leanne.jpg

We wish to congratulate Mrs Leanne Gendle on her forthcoming retirement. Leanne joined our school in 1993 and has made an enormous contribution not only to the education of young adults, but also to the staff association.

Leanne commenced her 28 years here in the time where we used typewriters rather than computers and has witnessed the growth of technology in our school.

Leanne’s skilled and accurate typing continues to impress us all as she still consistently hits over 80 words per minute! Leanne taught Senior School Accounting at Belridge and frequently topped the State league tables with her student results. She has continued to develop the Business courses here at our school, introducing the Certificate (Cert I & Cert II) courses in Business. Leanne continued to seek out opportunities for her students to excel and place themselves well for the world of work, initiating our participation in the “Interview to Impress” workshops run by ABCN (Australian Business and Community Network). Many of our former students have credited Leanne and the “Interview to Impress” program with their success in acquiring jobs after school.

In her time at Belridge, Leanne has given over two decades of service to the staff in her executive work for the Staff Association, most notably as secretary and more recently as events co-ordinator. Leanne will be very much missed by staff and students alike. We thank her for her contribution to our school and wish her well in her retirement.
