Principal's Message

Course selection and subject counselling has been finalised for students entering Year 11 and 12 in 2022. This process now continues for students entering Year 9 and 10. The College has been very creative in updating our course structures across Year 9 and 10 to ensure students have access to new courses and programs aligned to career pathways of the future.
During week 3 we held our whole school assemblies in which we recognised a large number of students for both their academic achievement and attendance. It was really great to see so many of them recognised in this forum. A particular stand out was our Year 9 cohort with the largest number of certificates handed out. Certificates for effort will be handed out at year assemblies over the coming weeks.
Year 12s are now on the home straight, with their learning journey at Belridge close to the end. With the current pandemic situation in the eastern states, I would like to assure parents that we have a full Connected Learning Plan in place to support our students and ensure they are not disadvantaged at this vital stage of their learning. If WA was to enter a lockdown during this time, full details of the plan and learning programs will be shared with parents and students through Connect. This plan covers all students from Year 7 to 12. Details on graduation and final week arrangements will be sent out shortly.
Enrolments for 2022 are coming in thick and fast, we have limited places in our specialist programs. If you have not already enrolled your child for 2022, please submit your application forms to the Administration Office ASAP to avoid disappointment.
A quick reminder that Friday 13th August is a Staff Development Day (SDD). There will be no students onsite on this day. Our SDD’s are a crucial part of our Professional Learning Program, which ensures our teachers are best equipped both inside and outside of the classroom.
We also have a number of extracurricular events occurring this term that we are looking forward to, these include Book Week, Science Week, Wear it Purple Day and the Opening of the Belridge Bindi Bindi Garden.
Save the Date! On Friday 5th November Belridge SC will be celebrating its 30th Birthday (1991-2021). As part of our birthday celebrations, we will have a number of events taking place for you to enjoy on the evening. This will include food trucks, live music and dance performances, a gallery of memorabilia for you to view and reminisce, raffles, prize draws and merchandise to commemorate the event. Anybody who has been connected with Belridge over the 30 Years is welcome to attend. Invitations will be posted on our Website and Facebook. So spread the word! I hope to see you there to celebrate this special event.
A quick reminder if you have not already, please follow us on Facebook @BelridgeSC. This is one way we share some of the great things that are happing at the college on a regular basis, along with using it as a forum to send out reminders for upcoming events.
Thank you for your ongoing support.
