Belsurf 2021

On Friday the 12th of March the Belridge Secondary College Belsurf Carnival took place at Sorrento Beach. Although the weather didn’t appear to be favourable in the morning it turned out to be a fantastic, partially sunny day. High student attendance on the day was pleasing to see.

It was great to see so many students involved in events, with participation points allowing all students the opportunity to contribute to their house total. The house points tally remained close for most of the carnival, encouraging some good competition. The high number of competitors meant that heats had to be run for a variety of races. The Year 7 students had their first experience of a whole school Belsurf Carnival and it was great to see them getting involved and enjoying the day.

A big thank you to all staff for all their hard work, ensuring the day ran smoothly and safely. This event would not run so well without support from the whole school. Thank you to the Physical Education staff who arrive early to assist with set-up, co-ordinate the activities on the day and re-qualify so that they can supervise students in the water. We would also like to acknowledge and thank the lifeguards and staff at Sorrento SLSC who assisted with the venue and supervision on the day.
