Sporting Stars!
Girls Footy
A huge congratulations goes to the Year 7 & 8 Girls Football Teams. After only 3 training days, both teams played outstandingly. The Year 7/8 Team won 4 out of 6 games and the Year 9/10 Team made it through to the Grand Final, but lost to Mater Dei (a Football Specialist School). The girls showed amazing spirit and were great representatives of Belridge within the wider community.

State Reps
Congratulations to Blake Houston who has been selected to represent WA for the State Athletics Team. Blake will be travelling to Hobart in the April school holidays for the 'Australia Little Athletics Championships' competing in both Javelin and Discus, and possibly other events. We wish Blake all the very best in his endeavours!

Braving the Rottnest Channel Swim
Seth Pierce in Year 11 recently completed the 19.7km Rottnest Channel Swim as part of a team of four. Seth’s team were forced to pull out at the 12km mark last year, following the sighting of a large 4 metre great white shark. Not to be beaten, the team tried again in February, this year completing the race in a very respectable 7hrs 10mins. Two shark sightings this year were not enough to call swimmers out of the water! Seth was joined by his father Rob, and father-daughter Peter & Amelie Caporn. Next year Seth is hoping to go one better and complete the race as a duo with his Dad.
