Staff Retirements
It's been a busy fews weeks in which the Belridge community has bid farewell to three long standing and respected members of staff, who between them have worked for a total of 115 years in public service!
A sad farewell was bid to our Manager of Corporate Services, Greg Carey, after 48 years in public service on Friday 6 December. Greg's time commenced at the Metropolitan Water Board in 1971. He then moved onto the Department of Education in 1974, working at schools in Scarborough, Wanneroo, Cyril Jackson and Craigie SHS. The last 15 years have been here at Belridge SC with Greg keeping everything ship-shape and in order. Thank you for all your hard work Greg - you will be missed by many.
Carol Monks, our long standing School Officer and 'heart of the engine room', is retiring after 26 years with Department of Education. Carol worked for Padbury SHS, Craigie SHS and eventually gained permanency at Belridge SC in 1999. Carol is known fondly across the school as the 'Font of all knowledge' and her knowledge and hard work contributed to the smooth running of the front office. Her caring nature and great sense of humour will be deeply missed by the administration team and across the school.
Richard Gazey, Science Teacher, commenced his time as a teacher in 1977 at Carnamah DHS and worked for several schools spanning across the Metropolitan area, and also country, before Belridge was lucky enough to have him arrive at our door in 2009. Richard's professionalism and sense of humour will be missed very much.
Greg, Carol and Richard have earned a very well-deserved retirement between them and we wish you all a long, healthy and happy time going forward into your next chapter.
