Student Achievements

World Skills WA Awards Breakfast

Two Belridge SC Year 11 students competed in the WA Regional World Skills competition earlier this year. I had the pleasure of attending the awards breakfast at The Crown on Friday 22 November and wish to congratulate Thomas Mason on winning gold and Jamie Attree on silver in the VET in Schools Automotive competition.  Thomas and Jamie will now go forth and represent WA as part of Team WA for the 2020 national competition to be held in Perth, during the WA Careers Expo. Good luck!

State Representatives

BASEBALL

Cooper McDonnell (Year 9) represented Australia back in August when he travelled to Detroit, USA to competed in a Baseball competition.  Australia were placed 7th out of 12 countries, which included competing against other countries, such as China, Mexico, Italy and Amercia.

BOXING

After winning the WA State Title in September, Alina Moore (Year 9) was selected to represent WA in the U19 National Boxing Australia competition held in October in Queensland.  Unfortunately Alina lost her fight at the Nationals, but we wish her well for future competitions.

NETBALL

Charlie Williams (Year 7) and Declan Mensing (Year 8) have both recently been selected to represent WA in the U17s Mens Netball team.  Both students will be travelling to Adelaide, SA next April to compete. This is a massive achievement, as these boys are a lot younger than the other competitors.  Good luck!

Scholarships

Belridge is delighted to announce that the following students have been selected to receive an ECU funded scholarship to enable them to participate in the ConocoPhillips Experience in 2020.  The program will enlighten students to the fascinating world of marine biology and environmental science, alongside opening minds to the endless opportunities of future study and careers in STEM.

  • Jorja Huntley (Year 9)
  • Evie Innes (Year 10)
  • Ashley Lambert (Year 10)
