After 41 years of service, Heather Broadway, HASS teacher and foundation staff member of Belridge, is retiring. Mrs Broadway has worked tirelessly over her career as a classroom teacher, a Year Coordinator, and a Student Council Coordinator. Mrs Broadway has mentored many student leaders over the years, run school assemblies with grace, ensured the smooth running of many years of graduation ceremonies and served as a School Board Member from 2012 to 2018, since the school’s change to being an Independent Public School.

Mrs Broadway is also held in very high regard, by her colleagues and school leaders as she was sought out for her wise advice, by staff and students in the school.

Teaching both lower school students, and upper school ATAR History classes for many years, her high level of historical knowledge and attention to detail meant that many students were well supporting through their studies to achieve well in their ATAR exams.

Mrs Broadway’s calm, tempered and graceful approach to teaching was a lead example of how to be a highly professional teacher.

Belridge is richer for Mrs Broadway’s contribution, and we thank her for her many years of service. The entire Belridge community wishes her well for a well deserved retirement.
